The Day's Agenda: Sewing and Cleaning

While the kids are doing their schoolwork this morning I will be finishing going through the quilting books & magazines.  I want to get as much of this material worked as possible, storing quilts is much easier to do plus quilts can be put on beds, material on its own isn't very warm.  Well, unless you pile it on! :) 

Once the kids are done with the schoolwork and I have access to the table, I'm going to work on cutting out the patterns for Bethany and I.  We also need to decide what material we're going to use.

Dinner last night was very good, but even better was being able to sit and visit for a while.  They sent us home with several sacks of clothing for the boys, stuff my FIL didn't need anymore.  The children's first agenda is to clean out the closet so they can put the clothes away.  The boys, especially Dallas, really were needing some more clothes and this makes it where I don't have to sew for them for a while.

Also on the agenda today is cleaning.  We have a lot to do still!  I can see some progress, but not as much as I'd like.  I hope to have several boxes of give away in my living room by Wednesday.

I never got around to making bread last week (or beans either) so that's another thing I need to do.  I'm realizing that plans don't mean anything if there isn't anything behind them.  We can plan all day long, but if we don't get in there and start doing, nothing gets done!  Amazing isn't it?!

Oh sure -- you had to go and bring out that little bit of wisdom on us, heh? Now I have to get outside and start setting those fence panels. I was rather hoping they might set themselves up somehow....
