Quiet Life Homestead | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Our Homeschool Schedule and some other stuffWe don't necessarily go by times, its more of a when one thing gets done, we move to the next kind of thing. I try to be up by 6 or 7 as it helps Charlie to get up. The kids wake sometime between 7-9, right now I enjoy having a little quiet time in the morning and let them sleep until they wake up on their own. We eat breakfast then begin homeschooling. Bible first, Spelling Power, then the kids each do their math, science, and english on their own (all Rod and Staff). Usually its around lunch time by then, if not, the kids have some free time to tidy their rooms or work on art or leather projects. After lunch they read their list books for about an hour, if we're really tired and decide to have a nap, I'll read aloud to everyone for a little bit - it calms the dog down and gets everyone ready for a little rest. I'm probably going to start having the list book reading time lengthened as we aren't seeing as much progress as I'd like. Bethany and I looked at the directions for the patterns this afternoon. I think we're going to start with chemises and pantaloons as these seem to be the easiest (at least they look like it). Hopefully we'll be able to start cutting the patterns out tomorrow. I've never done this before so I don't want to rush it, but am getting excited. The boys are already talking about us making them some shirts and pants as well. Charlie hooked my computer up to the internet since he's going to need his laptop for the manager's meeting he's getting ready to go to soon. I must say, its nice to get to type on a regular keyboard again! I'm getting this typed in half the time. I finished the library book I was reading, so now I'm going to start reading my Charity Ministries Remnant "magazine." I don't know what else to call it. Have a good night!
