Quiet Life Homestead

Wednesday Update

The kids got their schoolwork completed, well, everything but reading their list books.  I took them to the dollar movies and we watched A Night at the Museum (again).  I thought it would be a nice treat after last week's inventory.

I also finished Dallas' quilt.  I need to remember to ask Charlie to bring his camera home so I can take a picture of it to post.

I finally got a chance to check out Popular Mechanic's 9-11 page.  Pretty interesting.  I ended up doing a search to see what some of the conspiracy was about, but didn't get too far.  I honestly believe it happened the way we all saw it.  I don't believe the conspiracies and, truthfully, to me, a lot of them (that I read) just didn't make much sense.  Also quite a lot of them had really bad language.  I figure that's one area we can agree to differ.

If you think about it, most of the major events of history have controversy of one type or another.  And conspiracies abound.  I think its just one of those things.

Moving on......The Yankees game was rained out, but the Tigers and Rockies both won.  I was starting to get a little worried about the Tigers, but they pulled it off.

I haven't gotten much purging done.  I hurt my pinkie toe on my left foot last night and have been kinda hobbling all day.  Charlie worked on it last night and will check it out again tonight, I think its just sore and needs time to heal.  Also for the past few days I keep having headaches.  I think part of it is eyestrain plus I've been cutting down on my caffene intake.  I need to be drinking more water, so dehydration could also be contributing.  My dear oldest son tends to speak very loudly (!) and that doesn't help the headaches.  He doesn't have a hearing problem that we know of, he just is loud.  We love him anyway.  :)

When I started to cut back on the caffeine -- I think for a few years there, Pepsi Co. would have folded had I not kept buying their products :o( -- I had terrible spur-of-the-moment headaches. They about wiped me out for about 2 weeks, they would sort of creep in and you'd hardly notice the change, then boom...a full blown, knock-down headache.
It took me all of a month total, drinking nothing but water and benign herbal teas to get over them. Now I get a headache when I drink something with caffeine, like a soda and such.

Hang in there! It's far more healthy on the other side!
