Wednesday Evening RecapI'm pretty tired so this post will be quick. Every time I say that, the post ends up being really long (to me anyway)! The boys helped Charlie and the other men move leather, shelves, and tables at the store. They got a lot done and it looks great! I wish we already had a place where the boys could get outside and work in the garden, with animals, etc., but this will do for now. Bethany read the John Seymour book until she got to the pictures of what you can have/do with _____ acres. Next thing I know, her creative self took over and I had thrust before me at least a dozen different diagrams that she drew up! She didn't copy any of the ones in the book, she took a look at them and then worked up her own ideas. Sometimes I'm just amazed with what she can do once she gets an idea! God is wonderful! While everyone else was either moving or creating, I was in the office inputing orders, as soon as I thought I was caught up, more would be brought to me! It did feel good to be doing something to help out. I know that for me, home is the place I need to be, but sometimes I need to get out and do something like that. I used to be a secretary (I think now they're called "assistant") for the purchaser of a major computer parts maker, and the work I did today was a lot like what I used to do there. I love typing and alphabetizing so much, you'd think my house would be squared away by now! Dinner was very nice tonight. We had a relaxed visit with Charlie's parents (and kitties). It felt good to just sit and talk for a while, and of course, the food was WONDERFUL! Lastly, today in the mail I received my Rod and Staff catalog and curriculum samples! I'll go through those tomorrow. If I mess with them tonight I'll never go to sleep! I also got a letter from a Charity Church who's having a camp meeting in May. It's down in Wilburton so I don't know if we can attend, but I'd like to! The church is actually in Heavener - don't know where that is. I'll have to consult my Oklahoma map. Bro. Kenny Kuhns will be speaking on Phil 3:10. It will be a weekend camp meeting at Robber's Cave State Park so that would be fun, I'll just have to see if we can afford to go. I'm still learning about what God calls women to be and do, and not wearing dresses/skirts full time yet. Also I don't wear a veil, I wonder if we'd fit in. It isn't that I'd mind wearing either one, I'd like to wear dresses/skirts but grew up in jeans and sweats and am working on changing my wardrobe and my habits. I haven't really felt convicted about the veil yet. I also haven't mentioned it (veiling) to Charlie yet to see what he thinks. I don't want to do something that is meant to honor him if doing that thing will bother him. Does that make sense? In other words, I need to study more about it and also talk with him to see what he thinks. I want to make sure it is something he also feels I need to do and that he wants me to do. Anyway, I don't know if all this makes sense or not, so I'll just move on....We have to decide by April 25 (for the retreat), so I'll get praying on that one. Also, I may meet people like us who live near here. It would help out a lot to be able to fellowship with others who have like beliefs. They could also help us with our questions. Charlie grew up Church of Christ (his grandfather was the pastor) and I grew up, we call it Bathadist - a mix between Baptist and Methodist. Whichever bus came by first, my sister and I would get on to go to church. Charlie and I are both so new at taking our spiritual walks into our own hands with God. To look to Him to see how we should be and what we should do. It's a great life, but also difficult to do on your own. I know we aren't really "on our own" as we have Him with us, but don't know anyone in our "real life" who feels as we do. Okay, this is getting long and too deep for my tired brain to think clearly on. I think I'll say good night and see ya'll tomorrow!
