Larken Update!

Don't you just love it when the vet is only about a block away!  No more 30 minute drives!

We found out she has a staph infection, suposedly very common in young dogs.  We got her some pills (antibiotics) that should clear it up in a few days.  It's great to know it isn't something life threatening and it wasn't caused by the cat!

Although... don't be lulled into complacency that staph isn't serious cos it is. It can get into the bloodstream and cause death so be sure to give all the antibiotics until they're gone. Larken got staph in a wound somewhere and that could have come from the cat (the wound)... you never know. But... on the bright side, you caught it in time and all WILL be well. Yahoo!!

Give that sweet baby a kiss for me, o.k.? I know your heart is relieved too. Thanks so much for thinking of us and giving us an update. I was thinking about Larken all afternoon. :-) You know me! :-D
