Today's Happenings (Sunday)

I know Sunday is to be a day of rest, but while my husband has to work six days at his the store, it seems Sunday also has to be the day of "get things done."  I know the Bible says to work six days and to not work on the Sabbath, so please don't say bad things.  It's just that we've let some things go and need to get them accomplished.  So, anyway, that's what today's going to be.

The guys need to finish installing the skirting on the house - this was suposed to have been done right after we moved in but the weather has made that difficult and now they can't find the scissors they were using to cut the skirting.  How's that for a runon sentence?!

Also, I told Charlie the other day how the house is really bothering me.  That I've been working on purging things, but it seems like I can't really make a dent in it.  He told me to not worry, to do our homeschooling and we'd end up getting it (the house) done.  That night he brought home some plastic containers to use as organizers mostly for his leather working stuff.  He said we'd tackle it today.  I suggested using one of the bedrooms as a temporary storage area.  We have 4 bedrooms and Cody spends half his time either spending the night in Dallas' room or in Bethany's.  We might as well take his room for the storage room.  I don't think he'd mind.  The boys have shared a room forever and I don't think Cody likes having his own room very much.  We could use that room for storage and then afterwards either give it back to him or convert it into a craft room.  I have a pretty good set up in my bedroom for my sewing, but to be honest, I like the kitchen table best.  That way, Bethany and I can be in there together working on our projects in the same room.  Right now her machine is back in her room, but its so cute to hear the sewing machine going at all times of the day and evening.
