SaturdayHi! Just a quick entry as my husband's laptop for some reason isn't registering the plug and is on battery power. Dallas and Charlie are at work, still trying to get leather and shelves moved and organized. Too bad Dallas can't get a part time paying job there as he'd be really good at it. So the Wacky Pack (Cody & Beth) and I are here trying to do our normal Saturday cleaning. The dog and cat are in hyper-mode running all over the place - I think it's the fresh air! Mom, Jake, & Hannah will be here soon with our Angel Food. They get to stay the night. We're going to show them the new store and probably take them out to Hideaways tonight for pizza. I went to Bibliomania yesterday and bought Bethany some Rod and Staff textbooks (math, grammar, science). We used to use them long ago but I had quit and began using our own put together stuff because we couldn't afford the curriculum. I wish we'd been able to continue with it, but, oh well. The math is 4th grade (for her to do while she's working on Making Math Meaningful Level 4), the grammar is 6th grade, and the science is 5th & 6th grades (two books). I'm hoping the math will help her retain more of what she's learning. We do have BJU 6th grade science, but she was really wanting the R&S so I got it for her. She LOVES science and would do ten different texts at the same time if I'd let her! Oh, we also got a Pathway Publishers reader - I think 6th grade. Sue (at Bibliomania) gave the kids some things for free that someone brought in but they wouldn't be able to sell. We ended up with two boxes! One of the things is BJU's Chemistry text and lab manual! They already had too many of them, I guess. Sue said it's 11th grade and since Dallas just started ABeka's Biology (10th grade), I won't have to worry about what to follow it with. We don't worry here alot about grade levels, we do things more by what interests them and what they can handle. I'd better get back to work......
