Slip Sliding Away

Today's entry won't be long, I just wanted to ask for prayers for all of us who are in the winter storm path.  It is just rain here right now but is expected to begin turning ugly around noon.  It depends on who you are listening to but this weekend we need God's mercy and protection.  In case you don't know, we don't usually get much snow in Oklahoma, we get ICE.  The road we live off of (the house is approx. 50 feet from the road) is a pretty major rural type highway.  We get semis, cars, and trucks zooming down the road all the time.  I just pray they are smart enough to slow down once the bad stuff hits.

It snowed here is Louisiana once or twice and let me tell you, there were cars and trucks in every ditch in town. We had no idea how to act with snow on our roads, lol.

Hi, I saw your entry on my blog and wanted to let you know I am in far N.E. Oklahoma around the Grove/Jay area right on the Arkansas Line.....nice to meet a fellow Okie so close...I have been to Bixby many times....Temps are slowly falling here...I truly hope the power stays on for everyone facing this storm..we live like 2.5 miles from a hiway( we are way out in the boonies)...LOL.. so we are not really able to even leave once the storm hits...not sure how we handle no heat...

I hope things won't get as bad as they say. Stay off the roads by all means! (I have a grandmother that lives in Tulsa)
