The most amazing thing happened yesterday
Posted in Daily Musings
I had the most amazing phone call yesterday evening - a neighbor of ours phoned me up to ask me if I wanted her two knitting machines along with a bunch of yarn!!!!
A few weeks ago, at the Silent Auction (oh, the Flames Illusion Scarf brought in $35 for the Church), she had mentioned to me that she had a couple of knitting machines that she had been given by someone else. When she told me this, I thought to myself "Wow, you are so blessed to have not just one knitting machine, but two of them", but I never said anything because the discussion had switched topics. So, yesterday when she called me I was in total shock!
She told me that she didn't want to learn how to use them but wasn't sure what she was going to do with them, and then she remembered that I knit ... so she phoned me up to see if I wanted them. We couldn't go over right then to get them - she was getting ready to lay down because she had a migraine, so we are going over tomorrow night to pick them up - how cool is that???????
On the Homeschool front - Don has asked if the kids can do a study of Peru because our Church may be sending the childrens offering there. Currently the childrens offering has been sent to Afghanistan to buy animals (cows, rabbits, goats, sheep and pigs) for the people there. Two Sundays ago we had a guest speaker at our Church that had spent 2 years in Peru on a Missions trip - this really got some of the kids thinking about helping this country and they approached our Minister about it. So, in the kids spare time they will be researching Peru to learn more about it.

What a blessing to recieve the knitting machines! I love knitting, but I'm just so slow...much faster at crochet...LOL! I've been wanting to purchase a knitting machine, but just haven't been able to round the money up. Enjoy them and make lots of goodies!
