Some pictures to share
Posted in Pictures
For about the past 3 days we have been hit with winter - Don totally saw this coming, we had a pretty mild winter so he figured that we would get it eventually. Anyway, I'm not sure how many of you are seeing Robins where you live, but this is how they were yesterday:![]() and here's a picture of them today - we have quite a few more today than yesterday:
![]() I finally finished putting the fringe on the Flaming 'C' Scarf (aka the Calgary Flames Scarf) that I designed for Illusion Knitting. I talked Charlotte into modeling it for me - didn't really take that much talking ... more like "Charlotte, I need you to model this for me", lol:
![]() ![]() ![]() I had posted some pictures of a knitting bag that I was making, it was felted and I have been using it quite a bit .... just never got around to adding the picture of it:
![]() The project inside the knitting bag is a Prayer Shawl that I am currently working on for a member of our congregation that recently lost her Mom.
Last year I had received the most amazing yarn in a knitting exchange and I made it into slippers - the bottoms of them are finally starting to wear out so I made some socks out of chunky yarn to replace them. The yarn that I used is Bernat Softee Chunky and the color is Denim Ombre. This is a close up of the Strong Heel that I used - it's called a Strong Heel because it was created by Geradine Strong. It is a really neat heel because you don't have to do a heel flap and then pick up stitches - the heel and gusset are done at the same time as the rest of the sock.![]() |
