School Today

Today was a much better day for us, schoolwise. I gave the kids a time limit to finish their math and they came through with flying colors. They needed minimal help today and for their 'reward' they got to come with me when I went over to a friends house - we are house-sitting for them while they are away. Tomorrow there won't be any school getting done because it is our weekly Mug Up - the kids are really looking forward to it, especially since they found out that they will be able to go skating while we are there. Hopefully the weather holds out so that it isn't to cold for them while they are out. Tomorrow at Mug Up we will also be having a bit of a science experiment - I am taking my Slow Cooker, a skein of 100% wool and a package of unsweetened Kool-Aid .... the end result is (hopefully) a wonderfully colored skein of wool that I would like to use to make this. I just have the hard decision to make on what color I should dye the wool - I'm kind of leaning towards green, but haven't made up my mind yet ... guess I should get cracking on that since we are doing this tomorrow, lol. Tonight the kids have Cubs & Scouts, so I best go and get some supper cooking. While they are gone, I think I might try and get some baking done as well as work on one of the Scrawls. ![]() |
