Aren't Colds Wonderful Posted in Family Life
This morning when I woke up, I noticed the oddest thing .... I couldn't hear out of my left ear! The first thing that I did was reach up to check and see if I was wearing an ear plug, only to discover that there was nothing in my ear. It's really odd, I feel pressure inside my ear, sometimes there is a bit of pain and if the kids are really loud (like when Charlotte yells at the dog) I get a crackling noise inside my ear and that hurts. Now, normally, I would think that this would be cause for fear and panic - but I'm not experiencing either of those feelings, more of a sense of waiting (if that makes any sense at all). My best guess is that this has been caused by the return of my cold and that it will go away when it is ready, however, if it continues, I will take the necessary steps and go see a Doctor.
The kids are finding this a bit difficult to deal with - when Josh wants to talk to me, he will walk over to my right side and get close to my right ear (the one that I can hear out of) and then talk to me, lol. Charlotte told me that this was very hard for her to get used to, I told her to imagine how hard this was for me .... one morning I can hear out of both ears and then the next day I can only hear out of one. Her response was "I guess", lol.
Last night I worked some more on the first Scrawl that I had started, I figured if I can get the lacy back done (in the yarn that I don't have enough of) then I can sit down and see what can be done with the sleeve parts. I'll probably get some more done on the grey one today - especially if I want it done by Mom's birthday. Don said that if I run out of the grey yarn before it's done, then I obviously was not meant to make one of these things, lol.

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee
≈ water
≈ sugar
***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!
* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
