Recipe Friday - Hamburger "Stuffed With Ham & Cheese"
Posted in Recipes
This is a recipe that my cousin Ann shared with me - it is an easy recipe to make:
Hamburger "Stuffed with Ham & Cheese"
1 to 1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef
4 - 3x1/4x1/4 inch sticks Cheddar cheese
4 bacon strips
Bread crumbs
1 can mushroom OR tomato OR celery soup
- Mix lean ground beef as you normally would for patties (with spices, onions, etc.)
- Wrap 1 bacon strip around each cheese stick.
- Form meat into a rectangle (about the size of 1 hamburger).
- Wrap cheese with bacon in the rectangle, making a neat loaf.
- Form the other 3 rectangles.
- Roll each small loaf in bread crumbs and place in a baking pan.
- Bake at 350˚F for 20 minutes.
- Pour soup over loaves and bake another 15 minutes.
