Tomato Paste is amazing

Have you ever thought about the versatility of a simple can of tomato paste? I was doing that very thing today - from one 6 oz can of tomato paste, I can make 1 jug of tomato juice or I can make a pot of tomato soup that is totally Gluten Free. Now, I am sure that there are more things that tomato paste can be made into - those are two that I am aware of. To make tomato juice - take one 6 oz can of tomato paste, empty it into a jug. Then add four cans of cold water to the paste. Stir it up until the paste and the water are completely mixed together and then add some salt, to taste, if you so choose. To make tomato soup - take one 6 oz can of tomato paste, 24 oz of milk and salt (to taste). Mix all ingredients in a pot, heat it up - stirring to completely mix together the tomato paste and milk. Once it is heated up you can serve it just like you do Campbell's Tomato Soup (with crackers or grilled cheese sandwiches, etc). If anyone else has recipes/tips on other ways that you can use tomato paste, please feel free to leave a message - along with your name, so we know who you are. |
