Our School Cupboard
Posted in Homeschooling
Earlier this year I bought a china cabinet from my Mom - not for the purpose of putting china in it, I got it for using in our homeschool instead. I got the idea from a friend of mine (thanks, Pam - I'm finally posting the pictures of it, lol) and we are pretty pleased with how it turned out:
We are using the top part of it for our school books and our reference books and the middle part is where we house our math manipulatives
the bottom of the cabinet holds all of our games
and here it is all together.

WOW! That's awesome, LOVE it!! Lori D.

Thanks, Lori - I really like having a place for all of our books, makes life a whole lot easier. The kids like it too because they know exactly where to look when they need a particular book. =)

Thanks, Chas - I can't believe that I didn't think of doing something like this a year or so ago (this is our 4th year of homeschooling), it just works so great for us.

I have a great appreciation for organization, Becky - love the cabinet. It should be a big help for both you and the kids for school times. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much. =)
It has been such a wonderful help in keeping all of our school books in one spot, no more searching around for our books or manipulatives.

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee
≈ water
≈ sugar
***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!
* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
