Back from the hospital

Today we took Josh in to the Hospital for his check up on his arm. They cut the plaster cast off and then put on a nice (pretty - but don't tell him, lol) blue fiberglass cast. After they put the new cast on him, he was taken down for some x-ray's of his arm, then back to the cast room so we could talk to the Doctor.

Good news .... his arm is healing up very nicely, you can only see a little 'wrinkle' where it was broken, but the Doctor is not concerned about that. We go back in October so that they can check it again and decide whether or not he needs to continue wearing a cast. Josh is hoping that he won't have to wear it after the October appointment, although he has told me that the new cast is much more comfortable and lighter - I think he is tired of being a lefty right now, lol.

Okay, I am off to get some rows done on the Pink ~~Monstrosity~~ Cardigan - one of these days, I will get that thing done .... hopefully this year, lol.

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee
≈ water
≈ sugar

***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!

* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.

* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
