One home, Two to go

Tonight I went and picked up Charlotte from Camp. When I walked through the door, she came running at me for one of the biggest hugs, lol. It was sooooooo good to see her again, I know, it wasn't actually that long that she was gone, but still .... it felt like a long time, lol.

Her hair stayed in pretty well, too - only one of them came out and it was one of the small ones at the base of her neck. I took some pictures of her hair after all the braids came out:

Here is how the front of her hair looks - she is pretty tired right now and is looking forward to a long shower (they were only allowed short showers at Camp).

and here is how poofy her hair is from the back, lol.

Jake was extremely happy to see Charlotte walk through the door - pretty much as soon as she let him out of the crate he was running up and down, jumping up and down, spinning around, lol. It was quite entertaining to watch, lol.

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee
≈ water
≈ sugar

***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!

* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.

* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
