Finished my Knit-A-Long Posted in knitting
Last week I finished the KAL (Knit-A-Long) that I was doing with my M.K.R. group, it turned out really well .... even though this was not my first color choice, lol, Charlotte chose it with the comment that when I am done the KAL then I could maybe make something for her with it, lol. Here is the picture of the KAL:
The needles that are sticking out of the top are holding the socks that I am making right now (2 socks on 1 circular - magic loop method), there is a cell phone peeking out of one of the pockets (I made 2 pockets in the bag ... pattern didn't call for it), I also added one extra set of the Basketweave stitch and I added an eyelet row (also was not called for in the original pattern, lol). The brown case that the bag is sitting on is the case for my Boye interchangeable circular knitting needles (I don't use the Boye's to knit my socks with ... I use Addi Turbo's with a minimum cable length of 40", the ones in the picture are 47" and I absolutely love them for making socks - no fighting with the cable at all!!!!!!!).

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee

≈ sugar
***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!
* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
