Playing with my Blog Posted in Daily Musings
Today I am trying to change some things on my blog .... not sure how successful I will be, but it is very encouraging to me when I change something and it actually works, lol.
So, yesterday, I changed the background of my blog and the picture has also been changed from the Tiger Lilies to a picture of the original house on our property (which has actually been turned into Don's workshop ... he has this in the living room). Today I am trying to get the categories set up on the side bar - I only have one added there right now and once I figure out if it works I will add more categories to it (looks a little lonely right now, lol).
Last week I joined the most wonderful group, it is a homemakers group and we send in our daily to-do lists that we want to accomplish that day. Everyone encourages everyone with their lists and we update the lists throughout the day so that we can all see how much has been accomplished by each member. It is a fairly new group and the support is really wonderful ... it is really nice to see that we are not alone in the homemaking journey.
Well, I am off to get some more accomplished today. I'll probably pop back on later and make some more changes to my blog, lol. Have a great one everybody.

I LOVE the new pic on the blog! Maybe once our guest house is painted and I get the window boxes on that I want I'll do the same.
That homemakers group sounds wonderful too!

Great job playing with the blog :o) It's fun -- don't forget to save a copy of the template, once you really start making changes. It will help in the long run and avoid some annoying losses....don't ask me how I know! UGH
I love the original house on the property! What a wonderful homestead-y look!

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee

≈ sugar
***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!
* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
