A recipe was sent in for Homemade Soft Scrub Cleaner on one of the groups that I am part of. I had been meaning to try it out but needed a container to put it in (it called for a squirt type bottle). Normally I don't go out and buy this type of cleaner, but if a recipe for it comes along I am more than willing to try it out. So, today, I made the recipe up and tried it out ... I have a white sink that is no longer white on the bottom because it has been scratched up so much (note to self - next sink we buy, get a metal one). Anyway, the HSSC did an excellent job on the metal drain part of the sink and I think if my whole sink was metal it would positively sparkle after having that stuff used on it - it didn't however whiten my sink up .... think I am going to have to bleach it to get it somewhat white again. HOMEMADE SOFT SCRUB RECIPE 1 2/3 cup baking soda 1/2 cup liquid hand soap 1/2 cup water 2 Tbsp vinegar ≈mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl & let settle for a few minutes before pouring into a squirt type bottle (an old Soft Scrub bottle would be perfect for this). I wrote on one side of the bottle that I am using what the contents of the bottle are and then on the other side I wrote the recipe so that I can make it again without having to hunt down the recipe, lol.
