Quick Update Posted in knitting
I noticed today that it had been a bit since I last posted to my blog - with Spring in the air, it has been affecting my asthma and then I was the lucky recipient of a cold, lol. So, what is a girl to do when she isn't feeling the best? Knit socks, of course, lol.
I had been working on knitting up some mittens before I got my cold and while I was sitting in my chair looking at my knitting bag, knowing I should be working on them but not really wanting to ... I decided that I would treat myself by knitting 2 socks on 1 circular needle. It has been really neat working on this project - I started it on Wednesday while we were at Mug Up (or should I say that I restarted it, I messed up with my increase rows and ended up having to rip it all out), last night I started one of the heels and today I ripped that out (in my Neo Citron medicated state, I messed up on that, lol, note to self ... don't knit when you are drinking Neo Citron) then I did both heels today and I am working on the prep rows before the cuff, I think I am just going to do a ribbed cuff.

Two Toe-Up Socks on One Circular Needle Tutorial
The one thing that I would highly recommend if you try this method out is to make sure you untwist your yarn at the end of every row, this is because you are working with two balls of yarn at the same time and if you do this it will save you a lot of frustration later on (so I have heard). I'll try and remember to post a picture of my socks when they are finished.

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee
≈ water
≈ sugar
***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!
* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
