A few days ago, I had told you about receiving a couple boxes of fleece type material. I think I also had mentioned that I was going to make myself a Tunic Top out of some of the material ... well, a friend of mine wanted to see pictures of it, so here they are ... this is the second top that I made, I didn't get pictures of the first one: Here, I am pinning the pattern to the fabric so that I can cut it out. Cutting the pattern out.![]() In this picture I am pinning the back edges of the collar together. Now, I am sewing the back edges of the collar together. This is the shoulder seam being sewed up.This next picture doesn't show me finding the center front of the collar and then the center points of the front and the back ... this just shows me lining up the center marker pins: ![]() Now, I am pinning the collar to the front and back pieces (all the right sides are facing in this pictures). I finished pinning the pieces together and now I am sewing them together (sorry about the glare from the light on the sewing table). The next step is to pin down the 'raw' edge where the collar is attached to the neckline of the front and back pieces. Sewing the 'raw' edge down. Here I am beginning to pin the sleeve into place before I sew it in. I sewed the sleeves in (didn't get any pictures though, must have needed both hands for the sewing, lol). Here I am getting ready to pin the side seam closed so that I can sew it together ... doing the sleeves first and then the side seam is the easiest way for me to put sleeves in, even though a lot of patterns don't tell you to do it that way, it actually works better for me. Sewing the side seam ....all the way down to the marker pin. ![]() Pinning the bottom hem up. Sewing the bottom hem.And here is the finished hem on the cuff of the sleeves ![]() Here is how the back of the collar looks, you can see the center seam of the collar ... lined up pretty good, if I do say so myself, lol ![]() Okay, last picture ... here is how the whole finished top looks on me. ![]() **NOTE**: Ooops, I forgot to mention that Charlotte took the last two pictures |
