Careful What You Tell Your Kids

Today the kids and I went grocery shopping. This is usually an event we share as a whole family but Don has a board meeting tonight so I asked him if he would mind if the kids and I did it this time - he agreed ..... and even gave me his bank card!!!!! (I behaved myself, lol). Both the kids were amazing helping me get everything that was on the list, and even more helpful when we got home. I brought the groceries from the back of the Suburban into the porch and the kids took them from the porch into the house. Now, here comes the part where you watch what you tell your kids .... I brought in a bag of frozen stuff and I told Josh to put the frozen orange juice in the freezer above the fridge. Later on I come out into the kitchen and see 6 slightly thawed out cans of frozen orange juice, on top of the fridge, lol. When questioned about it, he told me that I had said "Put the orange juice in the freezer ... No, on top of the fridge", lol, and then he said "How was I to know what you meant?????". What I was telling him was not to put it in the deep freeze, instead put it in the freezer above the fridge, lololololol. |
