Finished some more knitting

When the knitting competition was started, I started a pair of socks - I didn't work on them very frequently (mostly when I went visiting), however, on Saturday night I managed to finish these socks .... including doing the kitchener stitch on the toes and weaving in all the ends.

Here are a couple of pictures that I took of them (the yarn that I used is On Your Toes wild print):

The toes are a bit pointier than I prefer but I love how the stripes came out fairly close - I separated one ball of yarn into two and when you do this, you don't always get the stripes to line up.

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee
≈ water
≈ sugar

***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!

* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.

* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
