I love these kinds of moments
Posted in Family Life
On Sunday we had our Sunday School Wind Up, the kids had a wonderful time - there was a jumping jamboree, face painting and a BBQ for everyone to enjoy.
Josh decided that he did not want to get his face painted but Charlotte was one of the first in line to get hers done. She had her face painted like a tiger and it looked sooooooo cute, unfortunately I did not get a picture of it to share with all of you.
Once we got home, Charlotte sat down to have some yogurt but discovered that the paint from her face was flaking off into her yogurt (the people that were painting faces didn't use actual face paint) - so, off to the bathroom she goes to wash her face off. Pretty soon I hear her calling me to come to the bathroom ... she had the majority of the paint already washed off but there was some that would not budge.
I drained the water from the sink and put in some fresh warm water, took a face cloth and got it wet, next I rubbed some glycerin type soap onto the face cloth and then gently washed the rest of the paint from her face. She looked at me and said that this reminded her of Jesus, I asked her what she meant and she said that the paint that was left on her face was like sin and then when I washed her face off with soap it was like Jesus washing the sins away.

Iced Coffee Syrup
≈ coffee
≈ water
≈ sugar
***IMPORTANT***: you need a percolator style coffee pot to make this.
DO NOT use a drip style coffee maker to make this syrup!!!!!
* Make one pot of coffee, then discard the grounds.
* Add fresh grounds, percolate again, with the coffee as liquid, not fresh water.
* Do this three times.
* To the finished coffee mixture, add one half the amount of sugar (if you end up with 3 cups coffee mixture, add 1 1/2 cups sugar).
* Mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
* To use: add 2 - 3 tablespoons of syrup to a 10 oz glass of milk, stir to mix and enjoy.
