Turning a window into a doorway

Step one was removing the bricks underneath.  I didn't feel like taking some of the bricks on the side out, cutting them, and then putting them back in, so I used the masonry blade on my circular saw to just cut the bricks and remove the parts under the window.  It doesn't look as elegant but I'm going to cover the inside edges of the brick with trim anyway so I don't really care.

This window looks into the current girls' room.  The room I'm standing in will be connected to the girl's room through this doorway and will add extra space for them.

This is funny, because I thought your title "turning a window into a doorway" was going to be some sort of philisophical life lesson! LOL!
