Family Reunion & VBS

Well today we leave to go to the coast for a family reunion.  I'm looking forward to going and catching up with my mother's side of the family.  I haven't seen most of them in 30 years and some of them I saw 15 years ago in a scaled back version of a family reunion.  I look SO much like my mother my plan is not to tell anyone who I am and make them guess. 

My mother is the youngest of six children and there is a big age difference between her and her older siblings, she was Grandpa & Grandma's surprise.  So my aunt's & uncle's are in their late 70's early 80's and all my first cousins are my mother's age or older.  My Grandmother loved the Lord and that is the way most of my family was raised so I'm praying that this will be a Godly reunion and that He will be glorified this weekend.  What a tribute to my late Grandparents!

This week was a busy one as we had VBS all week, it is so hard for me to get up and get going right off the bat in the mornings.  I enjoy my early mornings, and don't start getting ready until sometime after 9 am, but I had to have the boys out to the church (10 miles out in the country) by 9 am with them being fed and dressed.  I don't know how working mother's do it.  I am so thankful I don't have to.  Plus because of how far away the church is I stayed there so I didn't have to drive out twice, which was really nice as I got to know some of the other moms better.  I attend a ladies bible study at the church but we home church so we don't do the "Sunday thing".  DH isn't a man who likes social things but last night VBS had a BBQ and program and DH really enjoyed himself and was quite talkative and plans on riding dirt bikes with one of the gals husbands!    He even made sure I had their phone #.  It is a wonderful church who mostly homeschool and have our same fundamentalist, right wing views.  Gotta love that.  So I will just leave it in God's hands that DH will have a desire to want to start attending.  I know our 13 yr old would love it as she has been there much and knows so many of the youth.  Hope it's not too hot where you are!
