Yesterday was so precious. After church we rushed home for our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful, considering the day before was rainy, windy and cloudy all day. The girls had so much fun. There were around 5000 eggs scattered all over the ball field for the kids to find. The littles got to go first over in the tennis court area. They jumped the gun on the bigger ones, so we weren't prepared. After attempting a mad scramble for eggs, one of the girls came up empty, but she was so blessed by her sisters and her friends. When you see Christ-like actions in children, it does a heart good. Her sisters shared their eggs and then her friends also shared their eggs. Pretty soon her basket was full of eggs! I couldn't get the 3 yro off of the huge blow-up slide, so we stayed awhile longer. After playing with some of the neighbor kids, we went home to check out our treasures and spend some time with Daddy. |
