Friday in our home
|
Yesterday was a beautiful day! It is mind boggling how finicky the weather is in the south. One week the wind brings in a horrible chill, the next it is back to upper 60's. We began the morning reading about the Gettysburg Address since we are studying the Civil War. Later we met a new home schooling family in our neighborhood for a morning at the park. The girls enjoyed meeting new kids, especially ones that are home schooled.
We came home for lunch and then went shopping at the fabric store. We needed to get the supplies for our next Keepers of the Faith meeting. The girls are making No-Sew Pillows. My dd was so thrilled because she found a monkey fabric. It is inevitable, with 5 girls at a fabric store, that there is always more projects added to the purchase. It is like trying to shop at Walmart and stick to your list. It never happens. So, before we left, we had fabric for 2 more pillows, a dress for the baby, pantalones and a matching bonnet.
The rest of the day wouldn't have been complete without a trip to Walmart later that night. And of course, we ended up with more fabric! The sewing projects are never ending. But it's ok - we are raising all girls.
