Titus 2: 3- 5 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Today I spent the morning teaching one of the teenage girls in our church how to use her sewing machine to sew button holes. She made a beautiful black/green flower dress for the pastor's daughter who is having her baby shower on Saturday. We had a wonderful morning of fellowship with her, her mom and two sisters, while we sewed button holes, and fancy stitches, all the while discussing our daily lives. It felt wonderful to be able to share a talent that I learned as a girl her age, and then to envision the trend continued when she'd share the same skill with her daughter someday. Have you blessed someone lately with one of your talents? |
