Been Awhile
Hello, dear friends. It has been since November that I have made it to a computer to type in an entry. It must have been the activity that always accompanies the holiday season that has kept me away.
And now it's January and time to switch gears and breathe a sigh of relief. Don't get me wrong, our holidays were lovely, it is just nice to be done once again.
Maria was home for Thanksgiving and she even brought a young man with her. She is 19 and he was 24 and he was a bit more marriage minded than she is at this point. So, they have decided to be friends, which fortunately is working out nicely.
Maria finished her first semester at Montana Bible College, much to her relief. She enjoyed school, but found that the 18 credits required for a full time student, was a bit much. For her second semester, she has chosen to take less credits, in order to allow time for a part-time job.
Her roommate/dear friend got married during Christmas vacation and Maria will miss her very much. Their relationship will change, but the friendship will still be important for both of them.
Jonathan enjoyed having his sister home for 9 days. Christmas was a lot for fun for him. I wish we had received some snow, but we are still hoping and praying for moisture.
Bankers are busy in December, so David was off for Christmas and New Year's Day in addition to the weekends.
Preschool begins again at Conrad Christian School on Monday. One of the other teachers and I spent some time together yesterday in the classroom preparing for our snowman theme for next week. I love snowmen, so it was easy to think of several ideas for art projects.
Well, time to open the library door for customers. Bless you all. ................Denise

Nice to read your update. Amazing that you don't have snow - I hope you get some soon. We've had a lot here in MO this year, although it's all melted now. Jill
