Good Reminders...

Our church had the privilege of hearing a missionary from Brazil speak to us on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights. His message, like the Gospel, was very simple and it refreshed us all.

He reminded us that we are all missionaries, even though we don't necessarily possess special talents. He said most of his witnessing occurs when he and his wife have people over for coffee or when he serves someone.

He reminded us to continually be aware that people are watching us to see if our Christianity is authentic, so we must search our lives, asking God to reveal areas that need repentance.

He also urged us to prayerfully examine our lives for things (even good things) that distract us from God's work.

David and Jonathan drove to a nearby farm and shot a mule deer buck last weekend. After David finishes cutting it up, we will grind most of it with suet to make burger.

He learned a good meat cutting trick a couple of years ago. It is to use a light touch from a blow torch to get the animal's hair off the meat. It makes the garage smell bad, but it works well.

Off to work now. Bless you all...........................Denise

I love to hear missionaries. It humbles me to realize that I, too, am a missionary right where I live. I will pass on the deer technique to hubby (who may already know it). We have considered Montana as our last place to live on this earth (unless God has other plans and He sure has lately!). I'm new here and have added you to my friends list. Come visit sometime. Great name, btw.

I'm wandering around Homestead blogger for a change. I see your post is over a month old. You have been busy. Have a Happy New Year!
