Ten Facts.....
I've read a few blogs recently where women have listed 100 facts about themselves. I've enjoyed reading them and learning more about these ladies. My hat is off to them. I don't know if I could come up with 100 different statements about myself, so I thought 10 might be a fun challenge.
1. I have a weird sense of humor. I grew up in a scientific community. It seems to go with the territory!
2. Twelve years ago, on Memorial Day, I was hit by a car while bicycling on a local highway. Each Memorial Day, since then, I thank the Lord that I can walk! I was hit by an elderly lady who was legally blind. I never had ill feelings toward her, but I was relieved to hear she didn't drive after the accident.
3. My top spiritual gifts seem to be discernment and teaching. I enjoy teaching new Christians the basics and encouraging them to be in the Word regularly. I have learned that I am to be my children's teacher, but not my husband's!
4. I am a loyal friend, but not a social butterfly. I enjoy a lot of quiet time and have to depend on the Lord to remind me to stretch myself and reach out to others sometimes.
5. My husband classifies me as an intellectual. The people I enjoy the most are thinkers who study and read a lot!
6. I love trees. I can think of few things that rival the beauty of the trees God has created.
7. Creativity is a necessary part of my well-being. For me, not to spend even a little time each day doing something creative, is to only be half-alive.
8. I enjoy trying ethnic foods. If I meet someone from another area or nationality, I love to talk with them about the foods from their culture or region.
9. I dream of one day spending an autumn in New England. It's that tree thing again!
10. My favorite antiques are barns. Whenever we drive anywhere I love to look at all the amazing barns that are still standing. David built a bread box for our kitchen that looks like a barn. I love it!
Well, enough about me. Can you tell me even just 10 facts about yourself so we can become better acquainted?

I love trees too. When I was single my roommate & I put up different pictures around the apartment. One time we both noticed that all of them had trees in them. Then when I married, I married someone who had a degree in forestry. He is almost always photographing & studying & thinking about trees. "I think that I shall never see a thing as lovely as a tree!" : ) Jill

All but #2 and #3, I could have written! I'm not sure barns are my favorite antique, but I do love photographing old barns and farms.
