Courtney went home with Grandpa yesterday and is staying with them until Saturday.  I really miss having her around.  I mean, I knew I would miss her, even though we have been kind of busy and Kaitlyn and Haley have been here while Dusty is out of state working, but Courtney is so much my buddy. 

Yesterday Kaitlyn and I went into town because she needed to get more formula for Haley and I got pulled over getting off the interstate.  The state patrol man walked up to my passenger window and asked to see my license.  I got it out for him and asked him why he pulled me over.  He said, and I quote, "Your window tint is WAY illegal."  I had to laugh.  I said, yes, I know.  I have a slip from my eye doctor because I get migraines.  I was fishing around in my glove compartment trying to find it and he asked me where we were going and I told him I was actually on my way to the vet's and I was trying to get there before they closed to pick up medicine for one of our pets and can you believe he just let us go..?  It was about 5 minutes till 6:00 and the vet's office closes at 6:00 and he said he wasn't going to hold us up, that I said I have a doctor's slip and he was going to take my word for it.  Praise the Lord.  I was so relieved.. not so much that I was worried I was going to get a ticket or anything, because I DO have a slip from my doctor and  knew I wasn't speeding, but I was happy to get to the vet's in time.  *sigh*  I just thought it was so funny the way he said my tint was "WAY illegal".. LOL

We also went to the Library.. I had two books on hold by Beverly Lewis.  She is an amazing writer.. she is writes alot of Amish based stories and I just love reading her books.  I have purchased The Shunning and The Parting.. Both are the first books in two separate series.. so I got the second book in the Shunning series and then another book that I think might be the second in a series that I haven't started yet... lol  So I guess I will have to get the first one before I read it.

We went to WalMart and got our shopping done.. I bought Haley a really cute little jumper to wear on the 4th.  It is white and it has red, blue and light blue stars on it.  And it says American Cutie on one side, so cute.  I will get pictures!! 

I really want to start doing some scrapbooking.. gosh, so many things I want to do!  I have lots of supplies and I have never made a single page.. I think I am intimidated.  I need to just DO IT!!

Hmm.. what else has been going on?  Oh! Hubby went back to work today.. his first day back since his surgery.  He said it went pretty well.  He was pretty tired tonight though.. poor guy.  I had dinner ready when he got home, just something simple.. I made Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes and Corn.  I didn't want to get into anything too involved because I knew the lady who bought Squirt would be calling to let me know they were in the area, so we could leave to go meet them.  I wasn't planning on hubby going with me, but as it turned out, he was home before they called. 

Well I think that about does it.  I need to be in bed.  I have to run an errand EARLY tomorrow morning.. I need to be down at Menno's (our farrier) by 7:30 to let him know not to come up to trim the horses.  He is Amish, so no phone.. so I have to run down in the car to talk to him.  With 7 horses here, it is much easier if I have someone to help me and no one else will be here... besides, Slingshot can be a pain to catch sometimes.. Brat! 

I am going to go read a bit in my book and try to sleep.  Maybe I will write more tomorrow night.. not much else is going on that I know of.. I need to start in my bathroom though. =)

I too Love Beverly Lewis Books. She is suppose to be comming to Ohio in September, I can not wait to meet her.
