It's Friday!!!
Okay, so here I am again...still trying to figure out why I would want
this blog and what in the world I am going to write in it?! It is
Friday...one of my favorite days because tomorrow and Sunday my sweet
"daddy" gets to stay home with us! Also, my older children living
at home get to be home too.
I am a small town branch libray clerk and I work 25 hrs a week.
Thursday is my "Friday", I get to have a three day weekend. On
Monday's I have just a few hours to work...so that makes my weekend
really long. It has worked reasonably well for me and my family
for me to have this job...it is my first job after raising the
kids. Since we homeschool, the three youngest have always gone
with me on Tuesdays and Thursdays to the library where I can keep track
of the schooling part. Now that my daughter has graduated from
homeschooling, it is only the two younger boys coming with me and soon
the older of those two will graduate also. How sad...my family is
growing up...
Of our seven children, four are still living at home. Soon
however, our oldest is coming back for a while. He will be saving
up to get a place with our 4th oldest son, who hasn't ever had his own
place yet. So I will be really happy for a while to have 5 at
home and then really sad after that to only have three. My nest
is emptying...not sure how I feel about that!
So here is a question for any who read my blog...
Why are you blogging? And how do you see it helping you? (oops that's 2 questions! )

Good question. I started blogging at http://greenberry.blogspot.com because I've always kept a journal and the idea of being able to add pictures was appealing. The blog has been a lot of help to the business; people feel like they know me by reading the blog. I have two blogs now; the one here will be more focused on the animals and business while the other will be more personal. I find that a blog helps me to be accountable; I start something and I finish it so I can report!

I started blogging after being inspired my Tam at King's Castle Farms. I would read her blog at homeschool blogger every single day, and she was such an inspiration to me. I found that I just enjoyed reading about her daily life. Devotion. Routines. Schedules. Chores. Everything. She unknowingly inspired me to start my own blog. I like the idea of a journal, and it is so nice to 'random blog' and read about others with similar interests. I find great links to things I'm interested in, and I have made some great friends. I doubt that I will inspire anybody, but I do hope to help in some way. Maybe somebody will read about and learn from my mistakes, before they make the same ones. Welcome to our blog family! :) ~Lisa

I just recently starting blogging also. I love it, its like a Dear Diary.... of sorts, only everyone gets to read it. The way that I found that it has helped me is that I realize that getting up and cleaning, cooking, homeschooling, ect. is not just my job its my life. And its not at all a bad life. I enjoy reading others blogs as well because it makes me feel somehow kindred to these women who live a similar life as myself. I also read your blog about the biscuits. I too love that I live in my kitchen. I find that God gave us the ability to provide this food, in good form, to our families and that I am very pleased to be able to do this. I dont ever consider it a job to cook for them, it is always a pleasure.
Thanks for inviting me in, and I will put you as one of my Friends to keep reading your blog. So keep writing it.
