Peaceful Valley

Garden

We did end up temporarily in a suburb near the border but on the U.S side.  My husband is working hard to get a house built on the property so we can host families interested in missions.  We have enjoyed having even a small yard of our own again although the garden we planted has not done well.  The soil here needs lots of amendment and since I started so late we ended up with some organic seeds and plants from a local big box.  Completely lacking in flavor.  And my cucumbers are so bitter they aren't fit for consumption.  What is the secret to sweet home grown cucumbers?

it sounds like you are doing a good work there!

Is there an ag. college near you? I would send the soil to the agri. college closest to you, and have them look at it & see if maybe theres too much of something in your soil........jmho

God bless,
Kim
