Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - ABC Wednesday ~ U

Posted in ABC Wednesday

So many un words in the online alphabetical dictionary!  Yes, all dictionaries are alphabetical, but if you want to find one online that is my suggestion.  My U is for Unread Books.

I got the books that are not from the library from ebay.  I also got a book by Tracie Peterson, book one from a series, and liked it so much I have ordered book two from Koorong.  When I finish a book in a series, I often read the first chapter of the next book on this website.  Thankfully I won't have a problem with my other unread books.  They are stand along or a group of books put together.  I have read a series by Lauraine Snelling before, the Red River Series, and those are the ones I read ahead with.

Unread books is a great choice for U. I have lots of those. I tend to buy more books than I will ever find time to finish

Some books are difficult to start reading in, because your thoughts are still lingering in your last book, and you cannot switch on to a new set of characters.

What a great "U". I have lots of unread books...I think I will have so much time to read in the summer since school is out and then I have so much to do in the yard.....really, just a pipe dream apparently!

While I've never read any of the authors in your pile, I can understand about the pile of unread books. The re is always an unread pile next to my desk. It is hard because I find things at the library I want to read, and then take them out and have to hurry up and read them before they are due. That leaves the books that I have actually bought in the "unread pile." Thanks for sharing!

I can relate TSannie. I found I was a bit jumpy. Now I seem to be getting faster.

It is nice to be able to buy books.

Monica I have been in that pickle about the library books earlier this year. At the moment not so bad, except I may have a problem with the Karen Kingsbury book. I think you may like the Red River series.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments.

I have a pile of unread books that I got for working at a warehouse sale recently. Of course, many of the kids at school think I have read all the books in the library. They are wrong, of course, but there are some that are unread there that I should read, too.

You should see all my unread books - oh my! I have so many that I have picked up over the years at yard sales. I do hope to get them all read someday. LOL

I have read two of Lauraine Snelling's books - Hawaiian Sunrise and The Healing Quilt. I enjoyed them both. I'll have to see what else our library system has available by her.
