2006-Mar-9 - Alternatives to Refined Sugars part 2

Thanks for all the helps and tips--I really appreciate it!

My next question to you then is this:

For years I have put up jams, and lots of em, in the late spring and summer....I have always used white sugar for this....what do you use for your jams and jellies ? I don't want to alter the jam, in taste, color or consistency....but I want it to be healthier for us, of course :)

Your Ideas ? What do you use ?

Thanks

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

I actually asked this question for the Front Porch committee and they answered it there. You use fruit juices and a special type of pectin. I will have to go back and look for the answers there.

Kay
