2006-Mar-7 - Homemade Brownies......Mmmmmmm :)

1 cup butter softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
FROSTING:
1/2 cup butter softened
3-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add your eggs, one at a time, add vanilla~continue mixing. Combine flour and cocoa ~ add in, just until combined. Stir in walnuts.
Spread into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
For frosting: Mix in butter (until fluffy) & the confectioners' sugar, cocoa, milk and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
