2006-Mar-3 - Today....
Pretty low key day....the sun was out though....and that was nice--still chilly, but so nice to SEE it and FEEL it! I've missed the sun - LOL!
We got done early with the basics -- Friday is a basics only day......we try to take extra time do something.....different, fun, together.......today it was a trip to town.....! This may be no biggie to most....but I generally loathe going to town...I am a homebody, period. My husband knows how to get me out tho---promise of a trip to the natural foods/ organic market up in Kettle Falls.....and a jaunt to the feed store. 
We browsed around the Old Apple Warehouse (a literal old apple warehouse, now filled with antiques and the Organic store.) The girls and I " oooohed and aaaahhhhhed " over all the antiques..we found a wonderful ol' butter churn and tons of lanterns/lamps.....some great pots n pans....lots of fun to browse. We then went into the store area....and found our FAVORITE SALSA.....it's made locally and is the best we've ever had! We looked a little more, and Marc is now convinced on the merits of organic/natural gardening---when he found green peppers were $1.98 EACH! He didn't believe me last summer when produce was going for outrageous prices like this at the Farmers Market and people were buying it!!!!! ONE bunch of radishes....$2.19--I KID YOU NOT! Unbelievable.....I think personally, its highway robbery.....I couldn't bring myself to charge that much!
Anyhew....a nice day.....all in all....just nice to hang out together....I love my family so!

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Friday! I am a homebody too! LOL My hubby has grown accustomed to it throughout our marriage, but sadly he is NOT one, so we have to compromise!

I am excited to find out there is a natural foods/organic market in Kettle falls. I will be visiting my Dad's Colville cabin sometime this year, so I will look for this place. What other stores or places do you like in the area? I am not very familiar with it.

...to have a lovely day out like that. I'm with you, though, you have to pry me out of my little home with a crowbar. But, I would do it for a day like that!
