Our Little Homestead

2006-Feb-23 - Today......

What a busy day!  Today was filled with lessons (a variety in nature :) work, chores and smiles!  We got our schoolin' lessons done, extra chores for prep to sell the house.   The real estate agent comes tomorrow.

We believe God has answered months of prayer...we are just seeing it. We're slow, sorry Lord.

I won't go into details, suffice to say, we are going back HOME.

Anyhew.....we got laundry soap made ( I made an extra batch so I could take a picture of it?!).....we made candles, cleaned house...and more work outside......

Marc is big into outdoor clean up because he gets to play fireman......

Image hosting by Photobucket The property does look great all cleaned up though! Lots of pine needles and branches that have come down this Winter. That is about it for today...it's time to hit the hay! Have a great evening all! Lisa

We've got major cleaning up to do also...not just what I mentioned in my first post, we were hit with a wind storm last Friday and well...there's fewer trees for us to clear out across the brook now, lol.
Thank you for the welcome, and I love your blog! We make those heating pads too. First time I ever saw one was when I first met my husband. He was a bit upset with himself (for not meeting me sooner ;-) hehe) when he realized how little they cost and how simple to make vs. the $15 he paid for his at some Earth Shop in the mall.

We also make those heating pads. They work well for earaches also. My son has a chronic ear problem and every evening finds him at the microwave heating his heating pad. Did you ever post your laundry soap recipe?

I made the laundry soap and I think I did something wrong....It did not gel overnight. It is now two layers - a thick crusty white layer and a clear layer...Any thoughts would be helpful.
