2006-Feb-13 - Mailbox ideas ?
It's my darlings birthday and what does he get to do ? Put the mailbox back up! Someone took it out over Saturday eve--he has a myraid of ideas to solve this from happening again....but some I wonder about, particularly his idea that involves NVG's... ;)
So--any of you that live in the country--and have home mail delivery.....what are some of your best idea'rs for keepin' the mailbox UP ?

Not sure what you mean by down--the box or the post. The post can be solved by concrete and a pipe. The box can be solved by buying (or hammering out of an old one) 2 sizes of metal mailboxes. Attach the big one to the post FIRST. then mix up some quickcrete and set the little box in the big one. Pour the concrete around it (the little box should be centered). Let is set and then set the post if needed.
If theya re taking ball bats to them this is an INSTANT cure. I promise they will leave your mailbox alone after that and it should last for a long time!;0
