2006-Sep-8 - Doin' The Puyallup....and the WEEKEND!
Today we will go to opening day of the FAIR......! YEEE HAW!
We have went for years......and the girls and I for the past 9 years....except last year when we didn't live here.....and the year prior Daddy took them while I was in Chicago for work. 
I love "Doin' the Puyallup"....yes, it's overpriced, overrated....and farrrrrr too many people....but it is fun....and it's one of the biggest fairs in the US.....yet still has a small town feel to it....(or maybe that's just me). I've been going for over 30 years....
It's supposed to be in the mid 70's and sun....perfect. :) I'll have a scone with raspberry jam for you. :)
This weekend it's supposed to turn cloudy and rain.....my glorious rain is back--yippeeee! I plan to stay in all day Saturday and CAN CAN CAN (and dehydrate ;). I am making blackberry jam, grape jelly, canning pears....and apple butter, sauce and chips (if I can figure the chip thing out--which should really be the easiest....see my other post on that).
I plan to make a batch of chili.....and just hang out in the kitchen! I can' t WAIT!
Well.....we are off to go get ready to head to town....errands to run....gotta get there in time to see the cattle drive thru town....get into the fairgrounds......and then to COSTCO....I'll be ready for a nap for sure by the time we get home.

We are going to the LA County Fair this weekend. I enjoy going there. YOu are right it is far to expensive and crowded. But it is a fun thing for the family. Have a good weekend.
