This is the spot that we've been clearing out this last week. We wanted to cut down the brush so we could take walks through the forest without tripping over the vines and to keep the ticks down.

We've also been stacking the wood. Our legs and back are sore, but it's been alot of fun.

So far we have this one flowering tree. Not sure what it is yet. Things are turning green so fast. Just in the last four days everything has started to bud.
This is a closer look at one of the thorns off of the evil looking thorny tree that we took down. We have one more on our property, but we might not mess with it. They are hard to get to.
Just another picture of a pretty bird. We also have two big owls that live on the back side of the property. Hopefully we'll get a picture of them someday.

Wonderful job!! We need to do that also so bad!! It's hard to get motivated when it is so much. I guess if we pick a spot and work on it little by little it will get done.

Wow! Hard work but very worthy goal. Thanks for sharing with us. Great pics and the thorn is huge. Never seen one that big. Bird is beautiful. It is amazing to see and be around all the life and witness it in the fullness. I am so proud of what you have done are doing and going to do for with each step you get closer and closer to fulfilling your vision. It is awakening in a sense. God is so good and with Him it all is possilble one day at a time. Have a blessed weekend! rilda *U*

The flowering tree looks like a dogwood and the one with the thorns could be a locust tree. I could be wrong, but that is what came to mind when I saw them. If it is a locust tree it would make good fence post. I will show hubby and see what he says, if I don`t for get. sheryl
