Our Journey

Posted in Unspecified

Well, we're back in KY.  It feels so good to be home.  We've unpacked and settled in.  We're in search of a truck and a car now.  Our pastor stopped by to visit and pray with us last night and to tell us all thats been going on at church since we've been gone.  What a nice welcoming.  Here's a few pictures of what we left in WA. Have I mentioned that my husband and I hate the snow and the cold weather?   We had some wild weather here in KY Yesterday, but it only lasted a few hours.  They let off a tornado warning for about 5 min. and we didn't find out what the noise was until that evening.  Our pastor said that the very first night they moved here 2 years ago they sounded a tornado warning and that yesterday's was the only other one that's happened in two years.  From what we've learned though is that no tornado touched down.    They aren't common here, but the city is very precatious.

These are pictures of how beautiful it was after the storm here in KY.

Sorry if this scares my family, but it really didn't seem like any big deal.  Even to the people who live here.

Stone fences that we see here alot.  We were told that the slaves were made to build these around their masters plantations or farms.

My uncle back in WA makes and restores musical instruments.  Here's a few pictures.  Isn't he talented?  If anyone is interested in having a wooden instrument repaired or purchasing one leave me a comment and I'll give you  his e-mail address.

Sorry for the not so good pictures.  This is a dolcumer sp?

This is a banjo that he made.  It has alot of mother of pearl inlay.

I forget what this is, but isn't it beautiful?

These are some violins that he is restoring and making.

This is an antelope that we saw at my Dad's when we were visiting in NM.

This is Angel doing what she does best.

Your pictures are beautiful and the musical instruments is a real talent. We got our oldest a violin for Christmas. Your uncles are beautiful.
