Yesterday we went to Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, KY. It was a short boat ride tour. -
This was a pretty neat tour. The guide had lots to talk about and it cost $14.00 each. We are finding out why, no matter how far into the toolies you head, everyone has city water. People polluted all the water here by dumping all their garbage into the sink holes and caves. People have devoted much of their money and time into cleaning up the mess, but who knows if it will ever recover. Today we went to Smithsville and went to antique stores and visited Mammoth Cave National Park. We didn't take the tour because you have to walk a few miles and I wore the wrong shoes and clothes. We'll definately go back to that one. You can fish for free in the Park all year. That is way cool considering you can't do anything for free in WA any more. You can't even take a hike without having to pay a fee. We also took a free ferry ride in Mammoth.
