Our Journey

Posted in Unspecified

Well we've sold the truck, had the yard sale and we're waiting for a phone call for the signing on the house.  We've been looking into buying a piece of land and moving out of state for quite awhile now and I can't believe that it may come true soon.  We're not sure where we'll go exactly.  We have the feeling Kentucky might be the spot, but we are open to God's guidence.  So pray for us that His will would be done.  Hopefully we take the time and do some fun things on the way.  We'll see. This decision isn't easy though because we'll be moving somewhere that we have no family or friends.  For the first time ever it will be just my husband and I.  Wow how exciting!  We have been married for 17 1/2 years.  I think it will be good for us. Our son wishes to stay behind and prepare to attend film school.  But he and our friends and family are just an e-mail, a phone call or a flight away.  There will be quite a distance between us, but we'll always have an open door for anyone to come and visit.  We have a few things left to put into storage, we need to get our son settled and we need to find a good low mileage car and we're off.   Make sure that none of you just get into the habit of reading this, let us know how you are doing too.  Take care everyone and thank you for your support and encouraging words.

God Speed...

May God Bless and Keep you both. I wish you the very best and enjoyable trip across the States ahead.
Stay away from Colorado... I've heard people fall in love with that place as soon as they hit ground. :) Arizona has treated me so well... but it takes a few years to grow on you. Hated Ohio... My son is living in Wisconsin now... don't like it there much either...
I do pray you will have a safe journey, and you find your home within your hearts. I pray that no matter where you end up... you both love each other, and take care of each other as much or more as your years passed.

Much Love,
Nicki & Todd Elias (AKA Nicholson)

Wow!! I just read thru your blog tonight.... and all I can say is wow!!

You have done just as we chose to do 1 yr ago....... we moved from the west ( WA is home and family is there) and we found our homestead in NW Missouri......

It is a journey --- an amazing one..... you will learn so much and you will never regret the choice you made to come!

I so enjoyed reading how you drove thru so many states and how you cam to finally find your homestead in kentucky..... I hear it is lovely there.

May God bless you as you begin this new chapter of your life!
