Mind?

Yesterday Joseph helped Sarah with the dishes.
(That's not the success story, but it is nice, isn't it?  )
But when the dishes were gone, Joseph did not want to get down from the sink and threw a fit. So he was assigned to sit in a chair for awhile until he could change his attitude.
Sarah was finishing up in the kitchen when she heard a meek little voice say "Mind?"
"What Joseph?"
"Mind?"
"You want to mind me now?"
Joseph said yes in his own way (which is a "heh heh heh" giggle of delight that he has gotten his message across and is enthusiastic that he's about to have his request granted -- in this case, his request was to mind ). Sarah had him do a few more things and he obeyed.
For the first time, our little boy specifically said he wanted to mind his Mommy!

they do like to help with dishes, don't they (all that water to play in and the soap which makes bubbles - and IN THE HOUSE!!).... just wish that would last past the playing through the "I actually have to get them CLEAN?" stage

Awww sounds like my little boy Avery. He use to want to help with everything!Now I can't even get him to pick up his toys...lol!
