Trust and Obey

Joseph behaved perfectly last night in church services. He sat quietly next to me coloring while I held his brother, and sang whenever everybody else did. I was so proud of him.

Since it was singing night, and since he had behaved so well, his daddy asked him if he wanted to come up and lead a song. Joseph looked shocked when I told him to get down and go to daddy in the pulpit. He walked slowly and gingerly, taking little half steps and looking around in amazement as if he were thinking "Are they really letting me do this? Am I going to get in trouble?" He got to the front and lead everybody in "Trust and Obey" -- the perfect song for my little boy. His daddy then put him down and he ran back to me and sat quietly for the rest of the service.
