WWGD
...What Would Grandma Do? Or maybe WDGD...What Did Grandma Do?, would be more accurate. In her younger days my Grandma lived in the country, way out in the country. She did not have a car. She did not go town every day. She rarely shopped for non-necessities. I am wandering if the key to my living more frugally in the country is to live more like grandma did?
I have been thinking this over and I've come up with a few lessons from grandma:
1. Drive less....way less!
2. Consume less...way less!
3. Waste less...way less!
What frugal things did your grandma do that you can apply to your life today?

I think these might have just been some of the reasons our grandmothers too, saved money. I was talking to a girlfriend today, who still lives at home with her mother and father and brother (she is 34), and goes to the store more than any person I know. (We shop monthly and then return only for milk once or twice and emergencies) She was going to the store again today for milk. (Almost every other day she does this!) It is none of my business, but I was shocked at how many trips she makes to the store and how much they are spending on milk because that is all the family drinks.
God's Blessings,

My grandparents raised me. They taught me a lot things. They grew up farmers kids in Kentucky. They both came from large families. You didn`t waste anything. I am trying to go back to a lot of the ways I was raised. She was truly a great Godly homemaker. I feel very blessed that she taught me what she did. Enjoyed reading your post today. Sheryl

I am trying to break my self from going to the store so much. It's not that far away for me but it's still a waste of time and I always buy more than I went after, lol!
